Jackie Evancho Hosts New Year’s Giveaway

Jackie Evancho is giving away handwritten lyrics of "Behind My Eyes". Evancho announced the thrilling news on Instagram last weekend, through a video of herself in front of her Christmas tree. Making sense of her giveaway, the singer said she’s into handwriting everything. She then explained that it’s the “first thing” she does when an idea for a song pops up in her head.

“This song, "Behind My Eyes" is such a big deal to me because it is the first song that I released that I wrote. You know, it marked the beginning of this part of my career, and I wanted to share that with you,” she wrote.

Elsewhere in the video, Evancho revealed that there’s a “little drawing” on the paper where she wrote the lyrics.

The classical crossover singer released "Behind My Eyes" in September 2023, a single “unlike anything I’ve released before.” The song features Evancho’s impactful voice over a sensational pop beat.

Evancho admitted that she was “nervous to share” the song before as it is a “part of me.” However, she realized that it’s her “truth,” and she wants her supporters to take a part of her with them. The giveaway will end on January 14. In the comments, fans are expressing their support for the singer’s journey with music this year. “Happy New Year, Jackie!” May all of your 2024 dreams, goals, and aspirations become a wonderful reality for you! GBY, sweet angel! You are loved!” one fan commented. “Such a special treat for a New Year. As you promised to be more open and giving to stay in touch with your fans,” another person wrote.

Ahead of 2024, The Masked Singer contestant took the time to thank her fans for their love in 2023. Evancho mentioned the fact that she’s been writing songs when she was young. Thus, now that she’s finally taken the necessary steps to put it to the world, her fans’ support means a lot.

“With 2023 coming to a close, I just wanted to take a second to thank you so so much for all the love and support that I’ve been receiving over finally embarking in the journey of releasing music that I’ve been writing for a long time,” she wrote. “I’ve been writing since before AGT so this is definitely a dream come true and it wouldn’t be possible without all of you,” she added. As she looks forward to showing them some more, she said she’s glad her fans are with her.
